"And although they say, 'As the LORD lives', Surely they swear falsely."  Jeremiah 5:2

What Will You Do At The End?  God commands, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might".  (Deuteronomy 6:5)  Question...are we harlots for sin?  Do we love it?  The house of Israel and Judah dealt "treacherously" with the Lord and He was smitten.  But, they did not care about that, nor where they weakened.  Their hearts refused correction as they continued to be dishonest and disloyal, committing adultery against the Lord.  Their houses were full of deceit as they lay waiting like fowlers to set traps and catch other men.  Even the people who knew God's laws "broke the yokes" and "burst the winds".  Meaning, even they did not try to lead and guide the others; they sinned themselves as they led others to sin.  So God said, "Why should I pardon you?...Shall I not avenge myself?"  They swore by other gods; visited houses of harlots, committing unlawful acts of sex; and cheated with each other's wives.  They had eyes; yet, could not see.  They had ears; yet, could not hear.  Their faces were "harder than rock".  Even, the prophets went astray; the word of God was not in them.  The priest ruled on their own authority, not God's.  They all thought misfortune could not come against them.  The Lord said, "do you not fear me?  Do you not tremble in my presence?"  God made it so that just as they forsook Him, served other gods and themselves that they would serve strangers He would send from another nation whose language they would not be able to understand to devour their flocks and herds; harvests and food; sons and daughters; vines and fig trees; and demolish fortified cities of which they trusted, rather than God.  Even though the Lord was angry, because of their numerous transgressions and apostasies (renunciation of faith) He declared, "Yet even in those days...I will not make you a complete destruction.  It shall come about when they say, 'Why has the LORD our God done all these things to us?"  Let us ask ourselves when we repeatedly commit sin, over and over again against God, are we then prostitutes for sin?  Are we selling ourselves to the enemy?
