God's Girls Alliance
"May
we be built up until we all reach unity in faith and in the
knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the
whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:12-13
Tough
times and situations can be difficult and demanding, but we have two
options: to satisfy
ourselves or satisfy God. Sometimes its hard and we fall short
in the glory of God; life isn't always easy, lessons can be hard to
learn, we can make mistakes and some people in the world can be
cruel. But, through it all we must strive to be God's girl
shining like the "light and salt of the earth" Jesus says we are.
Our words must reflect light and our actions "salt of the earth".
In the Old Testament salt was used with sacrifices in recalling
God's covenant with His people.
(Levitus 2:13)
In the New Testament, Jesus uses the term "salt" to describe how we
should be in the world. Just a salt changes the flavor of
meat, so should we change the ways of the world making a difference
in the way we live and being an example for our children. Just
as salt prevents decay and is used as a preservative in foods, so
should we preserve God's word, His love and the message of His
Kingdom. How do we do this? Through what we say and do.
Jesus says,
"salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it
salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with
each other."
(Mark 9:50)
Let us always be useful to God and maintain our "saltiness".
Now, in order to preserve our "saltiness" we must be
obedient to God's word and trust Him. He commands
us to obey His laws and decrees. Just as He promised His
people a land flowing with milk and honey; flourishing cities,
vineyards and olive groves they didn't plant; and houses filled with
good things they did not provide so can He do the same for you.
But, the key is to
"be sure to keep the
commandments of the Lord your God and stipulations and decrees He
has given you."
(Deuteronomy 6:17).
Remember, He did not let His people cross over into the promised
land except for those under the age of twenty (20). It was not that
He did not want them to go into the promised land as He does not
want prosperity, love and abundance for us: He does. He is our
Father who is Holy, who knew us before we were even born and whose
very own breath exists inside us. He did not let them go into
the promised land, because they simply did not
trust Him.
We must not test Him and we must do what is right in His eyes so
that all may go well with us and we may prosper. For the Bible
says,
"for it is He who gives you
the ability to produce wealth." (Deuteronomy
8:18)
We must not block our blessings as His people did by not trusting
Him. As Jesus says,
"be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
(Mathew 5:48)
We must be obedient as He says and
strive to be perfect and holy. The world says we
can't do this, but God says must make every to effort to do so.
"See to it that no one takes
you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends
on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather
than on Christ." (Colossians
2:8)
See, we don't have to become like "salt", because we are "the salt"
as Jesus says. We don't have to find it inside, because its
already there. So, don't let your mind be shaped by the
world's way of thinking. Instead, focus on what God says you
need to do and strive to shine like light to maintain your
"saltiness".
In your endeavor to do what is good and pleasing to God, it is
important to fully understand the meanings of a few words to help
you along the way. Remember, the operative word is that Jesus
uses is "strive".
No, we are not perfect. In fact Jesus says, the only one who
is good is the Father. However, we have to work at changing
bad habits and ways about our character so that we can become more
and more like Christ in our walk as Christian women. By doing
so, we can be light for God in the world adding flavor to our
communities by changing the way we live and being an example of an
authentic Christian.
For it is written,
"fear the Lord your God, serve Him only and take
oaths in His name. Do not follow other Gods, the Gods of the peoples
around you; for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous
God..."God says, He has mercy on whom He chooses to.

Many of us lost our saltiness, some of us are
just getting back in touch with it or just finding it and the rest
of us are flavored. Which ever the case, we are all God's
Girls and most unite in the common goal: "peace for families".
GOD'S GIRLS ALLIANCE OATH
"Lord God,
you are my rock,
you are my shelter,
my Holy Father,
all that is good and perfect
who sees, knows and provides
all I need.
I pledge to you to
obey your laws and decrees,
loving you with all my heart,
all my strength, and all my might;
giving you thanks and praise at all
times;
loving my neighbors as I love myself;
mediating on your word day and night,
covering myself with your full armor;
turning away from all
things evil in your sight
including my fleshly desires, so I may please you;
surrendering my fears, doubts and negative thoughts
to you when my mind becomes full of worry;
striving to live a holy, productive life through
perseverance, self-control, and self-discipline;
praying for your mercy, forgiving and renewing my spirit,
in Christ, if I mistakenly fall short in your glory;
building others up with a tongue full of grace
and seasoned with salt to enlighten and encourage;
being humble like Christ in everything
I do;
walking by faith in your word, rather than
being conformed by the world's way through sight;
using your word like a sword, cutting through
evil darts and arrows that may come by day or night;
using my spiritual gifts to serve
you instead of myself;
making a difference in the world by
preserving the message of your Kingdom;
uniting in fellowship with other Christ-like sisters and
brothers praying and singing with your Spirit in mind,
preparing on earth for a life in heaven with you,
oh Lord, that will never end."

even if it is grammatically incorrect, because they are everything
that is considered evil to the Holy Father. In the Lord's name, we rebuke
satan in the
name of Christ Jesus of Nazareth.
